The realization of becoming a parent

Came home early to wash the dog and clean up a bit before going back to the hospital to pick up wife and baby. Took a look around and what struck me was the quiet. Had to shed a tear. No longer just gonna be mine and my wife's space. I'm super excited to be a father, but sitting alone in my living room, it all just hit me at the same time.
